Police are investigating after a cup struck a woman waiting for a bus in Lok Fu, Wong Tai Sin. The woman, 41, was treated in hospital for a leg injury. The bus stop is outside Wang Fu House on Wang Tau Hom Estate.

Man held after locking wife and children in flat

A man has been arrested after locking his wife and three children in their flat for nearly six hours.

Police said the separated couple had an argument on Friday night. He allegedly hit his estranged wife, 36, who called police.

The husband, surnamed Tso, 48, refused to open the door when officers arrived at the flat in Wang Tak House, Wang Tau Hom Estate.

A man, 36, committed suicide by burning charcoal at his home at Tin Yuet Estate, Tin Shui Wai. He is survived by his mainland wife, 26. In a separate case, a cancer patient, 76, jumped to his death from the eighth-floor balcony of his home in Wang Tau Hom Estate, Wong Tai Sin, at 7.50am.

A babysitter had to be rescued by firemen after she became trapped in the 40cm space between the door and iron grille at her employer's flat in Wang Tau Hom estate. She was later arrested for working illegally.

Police arrested 10 schoolgirls aged between 13 and 15 for allegedly demanding money from a fellow student, 13, near Lok Fu Estate, Wang Tau Hom. The girls were later released on bail.

Two fatal leaps at estate

Two men leapt to their deaths from two different blocks of flats in the same public housing estate in Wong Tai Sin. A 33-year-old plunged from Wang Chiu House, Wang Tau Hom Estate and was declared dead at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. About eight hours later, another man aged 32 was found lying outside Wang Tat House.

Knife 'threat' to children

Police took a nine-year-old girl and her brother, seven, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital after they were reportedly threatened with a knife by their mother, 36, at Wang Chung House, Wang Tau Hom Estate in Kowloon City.

The mother, who allegedly failed to feed the children on Saturday, was admitted to South Kwai Chung Hospital.
