The committee stage discussion on amending the Tai Lam Tunnel and Yuen Long Approach Road Bill also dissolved into personal abuse between Liberals and Democrats.

Government 'dragging its feet'

THE Government has been accused of dragging its feet on controversial amendments to public order legislation.

Chairman of the Bills Committee on the Public Order Amendment Bill, Zachary Wong Wai-yin, said there had been no meeting for almost three months, since November 7.

Mr Zachary Wong Wai-yin has a point in questioning ''whether the police constable's life was in danger when he was dragged along the road''.
