I was hoping these Hokkaido Royal Milk Tea langue de chat (HK$78 for a box of 10) would be as good as those by the Yoku Moku brand, which are extremely delicate and delicious. Unfortunately, the Hokkaido brand doesn't come close - the biscuit seems thicker and the filling is far too sweet. They're sold at Fresh Mart, Sogo, 555 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay (tel: 2833 8338).

Young inventors show green credentials at fair

A machine for making yogurt at home was among a range of environmentally friendly appliances presented at a trade fair yesterday by Polytechnic University students.

Students Matto Chu Ho-wing, Max So Ka-ho and Eva Wong Chung-hung, all 21, invented the device, which does not use electricity.

Wynnie says: Gaining weight healthily and keeping it on isn't as easy as you might think. Although you need to regularly eat more calories than you burn, you can't just stuff yourself with burgers and fries all day, since you still need to eat healthily.

Warning on tainted yogurt

The Centre for Food Safety has advised against eating certain batches of Stonyfield Farm's organic, fat-free blueberry yogurt from the US as they may contain plastic or glass fragments. The centre said the affected product was packaged in 170-gram cups and carried product codes along the cup bottom marked with dates from April 13-15 and April 25-26, 2008.

Ingredients

16 large fresh scallops

2 ripe avocados

1 lime

30 grams fresh coriander leaves

1 fresh chilli

1 orange

1 tbsp vegetable oil

100 grams mixed salad greens, washed and dried

Why change?

I WAS very upset to find that the packaging for the natural yoghurt product of Diary Farm had been changed from a carton to a plastic container.

This is a shame when other companies are becoming more environmentally friendly.

I would like Dairy Farm to explain why it is going against this environmental trend.
