notes from the dorm

Frightening

WHILST visiting my family in Hong Kong, my grandchildren and I went down to the waterfront at Wan Chai to see a spectacular show of fireworks on the second day of the New Year.

It was enjoyed by all and I would like to thank everyone involved in this show and I hope it continues for many more years.

The women at the reception desk absurdly wore tail-coats, the bathroom soap was shaped like a frog and at bedtime the maid left on my pillow a dinky box of chocolate Smarties.
