Accident witness sought

Police are seeking information on a traffic accident on Monday in which an 84-year-old man was killed. The man was pushing a handcart across Yue Man Square in Kwun Tong when he was hit by a minibus just after 10am. Anyone with information should phone 2305 7500.

Suspected bomber flees with $10,000

Police cordoned off a section of Yue Man Square in Kwun Tong and ordered shops to close for about two hours after a man left a suspected bomb inside the First Pacific Bank and fled with $10,000. A 10cm object wrapped in papers and containing electric wires was detonated by a bomb disposal robot.

Mooncake theft

TWO people were taken to hospital after inhaling smoke from a fire in Yue Man Square, Kwun Tong which may have been started deliberately. It damaged 30 shops and three minibuses.
