Artist Zevs given suspended sentence

Christophe Schwarz, 31, lauded as one of the best urban artists by the French culture minister, has been given a two-week suspended sentence for painting a Chanel logo on Armani's storefront at Chater House.

Police hunt for man who exposed graffiti

Police are looking for an expatriate man who, at about 7pm yesterday, cut down the cloth covering a Chanel logo painted on the facade of Chater House, Central, on July 13 by the French artist Zevs. The 31-year-old artist, whose real name is Christophe Schwarz, pleaded guilty on Wednesday last week to one count of criminal damage in connection with the logo.

Bum deal for art lovers who attended French artist's pre-exhibition stunt

It seems Zevs will be in Hong Kong for a bit longer. The court case hanging over the French artist - arrested for painting a bleeding Chanel logo on Chater House last week, for which he has already pleaded guilty - has been adjourned until next month. Since his passport is being held, a project in New York will have to be cancelled.

Artist held for 'liquidating' of Chanel logo

French graffiti artist Zevs - known for 'liquidating' famous logos by pouring paint over them - was arrested early yesterday after a Chanel logo appeared on the facade of a Central building in his style. He was one of three people arrested over the incident at Chater House at 3.30am.
