China's home-grown aircraft, the C919, received 50 new preliminary orders from three airlines yesterday, bringing total orders for the 150-seat airliner to 380.

The biennial air show which opens in Zhuhai next week promises to be bigger and better this year as it becomes more recognised by international aviation and aerospace manufacturers, say organisers.

Advanced fighter jet set for public debut in Zhuhai

China's home-built Xiaolong advanced fighter jet will make its public debut at an international air show in Zhuhai in early November.

The multi-role fighter-bomber is among the most advanced of the 'third-generation' of mainland- designed and manufactured jets and is a co-operative project between China Aviation Industry Corp I and the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex.
