Zte Corp

ZTE Corp is a telecom equipment and systems company headquartered in Shenzhen in southern China. It is now one of the world's biggest telecom equipment makers, behind after Ericsson, Huawei, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia Siemens.

A US congressional report that urged American companies to stop doing business with Chinese telecom equipment makers Huawei and ZTE has triggered a fresh wave of complaints against the firms, opening a second phase to the panel’s investigation.

ZTE urges US probe be broadened, denies Beijing ties

ZTE said on Monday that the scope of a US congressional committee probe into Chinese telecom equipment makers should be expanded to protect US national security and that the firm is not directed or controlled by the Chinese government.

ZTE Corp, the mainland's second-largest wireless phone maker, said its third-quarter profit more than doubled on orders for third-generation mobile services from China Mobile and strong growth in overseas sales.
