Xi says China "will never pursue hegemony"

Responding to concerns over its growing military might and territorial disputes in the Asia-Pacific region, China's President Xi Jinping told the United Nations General Assembly on Monday that "China will never pursue hegemony, expansion, or sphere of influence". "China will never pursue hegemony, expansion, or sphere of influence," Chinese President Xi Jinping told the United Nations General Assembly on Monday, "except for the entire South China Sea. For now."
