Beijing cloaked in smog as schools, factories close

Beijing orders hundreds of factories to shut and allows children to skip school as choking smog reached over 25 times safe levels, casting a cloud over China's participation in Paris climate talks.

I would love to see some political cartoons of XJP in Paris telling other countries what they need to do to help the climate.
Other than power generation from coal, the biggest culprit in heavy air pollution in Beijing has to do with the emissions from heavy duty diesels in the evening and early morning hours. The dirty VW diesel cars is another issue.
