Under China’s one child policy, thousands of female babies have been abandoned since the 1980s. Han Yahui is one of them, she was abandoned after her birth in 1990 in rural central China. Han dropped out of school in 2010, and went to work at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen. Foxconn is Apple's biggest supplier.

In October 2016, Han was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Doctors say her leukemia was possibly caused by the chemicals she was exposed to at Foxconn. Watch the heart wrenching life story of a 26-year-old young mother.
