Sex workers accuse police of power abuse

Mon, 3 Dec 2012

According to local rights groups, Hong Kong sex workers face not only violence from their clients - but also the police. A survey of sex workers this year has found that undercover police had sex with prostitutes and free massages before arresting the women involved. To end this alleged abuse of power, rights groups Zi Teng and Midnight Blue marched from Southorn Playground to the Police Headquarters in Wan Chai on December 17 to call for an end to police violence towards sex workers. In this video, Albert Yau, the coordinator of Midnight Blue, speaks to The Post about the plight of male sex workers in Hong Kong.
