Asian and Western antiques go under the hammer at art fair in Hong Kong

Millions of dollars worth of modern and contemporary art is expected to go under the hammer in Hong Kong starting from today.

The auction, which coincides with an fine art fair, will include works by Chinese-French artist Zao Wou-ki and the celebrated Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. Ai is famous for pieces addressing human rights abuses, official corruption and the collision between Chinese culture and Western consumerism.

It will take place in Hong Kong from 2-4 October in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
