Walking in the footsteps of the 1967 riots in Hong Kong

October 30, 2016

Hong Kong Professional Teachers' Union organised a study tour about the 1967 riots for teachers on Saturday.

The tour attracted about 20 teachers from secondary schools and universities, comes as a consultation on a revised junior secondary Chinese history curriculum ends on October 31.

The 1967 riots, a spillover from the Cultural Revolution on the mainland, were triggered by a labour dispute in April that year at an artificial flower factory in San Po Kong.
