THAILAND, Chiang Saen : The drugs trade on the border where Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet has been hugely profitable for decades, and looks likely to continue being so despite increased police efforts. River patrols on the Mekong have led the smugglers to find alternative routes to their market.
