Last boat people in Aberdeen

Oct 11, 2012

This is a story about Hong Kong's Aberdeen Harbour - once famous for its floating villages and boat dwellers - told through two generations of 'boat people'. Today, flashy yachts have edged out the old boat families, and a ban on trawler fishing later this year will only accelerate the drift to dry land. Together, Leung Siu-yung, a fisherman, and his son tell of their hardship, struggles, and hopes for the future.
