High rent forces dog saver out of pet-friendly Ap Lei Chau

When Sally Andersen, founder, Hong Kong Dog Rescue, chose Ap Lei Chau as one of her dog rehoming centres, she was convinced by its pet-friendly environment, low rent and convenience.

But after spending more than five years there, around 40 dogs will be forced to move out next year as the rent has almost doubled, thanks to the MTR’s new South Island Line.
