Chinese woman hospitalized after howling uncontrollably at Avengers: Endgame
The college student cried so hard she started to hyperventilate
How emotional is Avengers: Endgame? It sent one person to hospital.
(Don’t worry, there are no spoilers in this story!)
At the movie’s midnight premiere on Wednesday, the 21-year-old college student cried so much that she started to feel chest pain and struggled to breathe. Before she was carried onto an ambulance, she was hit by muscle spasms in her arms and legs, with her fingers stuck in a clutching position.
Doctors later said they had to put an oxygen mask on her in order to help calm her emotions and reduce her hyperventilation. The woman has been released from the hospital now.
People’s affection for the Avengers can be seen on social media. On the day of its release, almost half of the most-searched topics on Weibo were related to Avengers: Endgame.
But all those fans posting online have nothing on the woman from Ningbo who was hospitalized over her reaction to the movie. She is clearly on another level.
Other online comments showed more sympathy for the woman and praised the movie as a well-executed tearjerker.
