
Xiaomi lets you virtually tear down Mi 10
“Cloud unboxing” lets people experience the handset without leaving home, Xiaomi says
Xiaomi’s cloud unboxing is its latest step in trying to replicate online what used to be real-world experiences. Last week, Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 series with live-streamed launch because the coronavirus outbreak had led to the cancellation of a slew of tech events. The Mi 10 is Xiaomi’s most expensive Mi series phone so far, thanks to its Qualcomm 5G modem and Snapdragon 865 chip. The standard Mi 10 starts at 3,999 yuan (US$570), and the Mi 10 Pro starts at 4,999 yuan (US$712).
