Huawei’s next phone could feature three rear cameras
The Huawei P20 Pro is set to be unveiled on March 27
How many cameras does a smartphone need? It looks like Huawei thinks the answer is three.
Its upcoming premium flagship, the P20 Pro -- not to be confused with its sibling, the P20 -- will feature a three-camera system on the phone’s rear. And that’s in addition to a front-facing selfie camera.

- a 40-megapixel color camera
- a 20-megapixel black-and-white camera
- an 8-megapixel telephoto camera
So why do phones need multiple cameras?
It looks like the P20 Pro could be the best of both worlds, allowing for better shots in low-light situations plus optical zoom.
The P20 Pro is set to be unveiled in Paris on March 27.
