As part of the company’s goal to champion diversity and inclusion, the South China Morning Post has convened a stellar line-up of women trailblazers and industry champions for a brand-new flagship event, the Women of Our Time conference.

With an agenda spanning two days, attendees will hear first-hand insights from women leaders across a broad range of industries and sectors. They will reveal how they’ve steered their companies and navigated upheaval caused by the pandemic, against a backdrop of an ever-changing global diplomacy landscape.

“Society needs to look beyond well-trodden issues of women empowerment and equality. I’m hopeful that the conference dialogue highlights, celebrates and amplifies the many success stories of women in Asia, and Asian women,” says Adrian Lee, SVP Marketing & Events. “This event is a key milestone in our goal to be a platform of exchange and discourse in Asia. We are honoured to have many of the pre-eminent women leaders in Asia accepting our invitation to contribute and share their wisdom.”

Delivering keynotes at the conference are Madam Halimah Yacob, President of the Republic of Singapore who will be speaking about the importance of an inclusive society in the age of Covid-19, and Ambassador Delia Domingo-Albert, former Secretary of Foreign Affairs, the Republic of the Philippines who will be speaking about women in diplomacy.

Joining them are influential women business leaders, such as Joey Wat, Chief Executive Officer, Yum China; Jane Sun, CEO, Trip.com Group; Lucy Liu, Co-founder & President, Airwallex; Tan Hooi Ling, Co-founder, Grab; Shinta Widjaja Kamdani, Chief Executive Officer, Sintesa Group; Ankiti Bose, Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer, Zilingo; Jeanne Lim, Board Member and former CEO of Hanson Robotics; and Christine Ip, CEO – Greater China, United Overseas Bank.

Also making an appearance to discuss women and leadership in an exclusive private forum for conference speakers and VIPs are Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director General of World Trade Organization, and the Hon. Julia Gillard, the 27th Prime Minister of Australia.
