If you are frustrated that the 4G version of the iPad 3 still cannot function on services provided by Hong Kong's telecoms operators, it might be time to think outside the Apple box. 1O1O has been operating a 4G network since November 2010, and has now launched the first package for a 4G tablet in Hong Kong - the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Officiating at the launch last Thursday, 1O1O chief marketing officer Mark Liversidge was joined at its Tsim Sha Tsui shop by actor-entrepreneur Michael Wong Man-tak. Wong said he liked to stay connected with fans through his weibo and Facebook accounts, and a tablet device running on a high-speed network always came in handy. The star has recently been busying himself with his business interests, collaborating with various brands. Spending time with his family, however, was also important. 'Me and my son, we spend hours streaming Jeremy Lin footage on YouTube,' he said of the New York Knicks point guard. Currently busy developing his menswear line, which will be launched first on the mainland, he may have little time for playing on his tablet. Besides, he won't find any 4G service over the border.
