One of the most anticipated satellite events during last week's Hong Kong International Art Fair was the Bazaar Art Night, co-organised by Bazaar Art magazine, New York's Museum of Modern Art and the Domus Collection. The private banquet was held on Thursday in Grand Hyatt Hotel. Over 250 guests from the field of art, business, fashion and publishing were invited. Artist Terence Koh, art director of the banquet, chose a black and gold theme for the soiree. He went the extra mile and made an extravagant entrance to the event, covering himself in sheer golden body tint. Visual artist Pipilotti Rist from Switzerland was named the International Artist of the Year at the occasion, while art collector Francois Pinault received the Contribution to Contemporary Art award. Art critic Li Xianting won the Contribution to Art Community of the Year award. He is widely recognised as the godfather of Chinese contemporary art. The after-party, with fashion brand Tod's on board, had a guest list full of local celebrities, including actress Carina Lau Ka-ling, models Janet Ma Sze-wai, Qiqi Yam and socialites such as Dee Poon and Josephine Chiu.
