An exhibition of works by artist and philanthropist Dominic Lam Man-kit has gone on display in the atrium of the Landmark mall in Central.

The exhibition opened on Monday and attracted guests including former legislator Andrew Wong Wang-fat, Jean-Baptiste Debains of Louis Vuitton Asia-Pacific, broadcaster Stephen Chan Chi-wan, singer-actor Teddy Robin and actor Ray Lui Leung-wai.

Titled 'A Vision of Harmony', the exhibition features paintings in the chromoskedasic style developed by Lam. The process produces colour images on black-and-white photographic paper without the use of pigments or dyes.

The result is images in a kaleidoscope of colours, patterns, and a playful mixture of light and shade.

Lam studied science and medicine before teaching at Harvard Medical School in the 1970s. He then apprenticed under Chinese artist Johnson Chow Susing in Los Angeles, where he honed his traditional Chinese painting skills and introduced a modern touch.

For more than 30 years, Lam has donated the proceeds from his works to various charities, including the World Eye Organisation, which he founded in 1999.
