Yvonne Cheung, who is American-Chinese, read cultural anthropology and East Asian studies at the University of California Los Angeles, which included a stint at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After graduating, she enrolled at The Culinary Institute of America in New York. She arrived in Hong Kong in October 2011. 'I automatically reach for rieslings from France, Germany and Austria, and red and white Burgundy,' she says. 'If I have time, I love exploring the extremes of northern and southern Italy for reds, and other cold-climate white wines from all over the world.'
