I MOVED into my present flat in 1985 and until about a year ago, I was satisfied with it and with the level of security.
However, about 12 months ago, things turned sour. My flat and two others next to mine, suffered frequent cuts in electricity supply.
We asked staff at the nearest branch of the Housing Authority to look into the matter and explain what was happening.
At first, they gave us vague assurances. They explained that there were minor problems with the electricity supply system and that they would investigate it and fix it in the near future.
However, nothing happened so I confronted the staff and demanded that something be done. Unfortunately, I got the impression that they weren't paying too much attention to our complaints.
The power cuts have persisted. They tend to happen in the evening when we most need electricity.
