The new alliance's organising body comprises Hong Kong University's Campus TV, the Baptist University's Cinemania, the City University of Hong Kong's Broadcasting Channel, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts' TV Department, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's Visual Arts Society and the Chinese University's and Chu Hai College's Journalism and Communication societies.

'Many tertiary students have a great interest in video production,' the alliance's chairman, Purple Lee Chi-yan, said at an inauguration at the Science Museum.

'For instance, local universities have Campus TV and the Visual Arts Society.

'So we decided to co-operate with each other and form this alliance.
