BEIJING - After the capital's worst floods in decades, there were many reports of chaos and tragedy. But there were also stories of kindness, of people coming to rescue others. As the rain fell on Saturday afternoon, a 60-year-old woman was shivering in the cold, waiting for a bus that wasn't coming. Unexpectedly, a young driver pulled up beside her. 'I told him I was going in the opposite direction of where he was heading, but he asked me to get in anyway,' the woman said. 'It was one of the best moments of my life.' Businesspeople offered help to drivers who were trapped on roads. A spa owner said that anyone who could not get home could walk into any of his company's 21 locations and receive free food, drinks, showers and a place to rest.
