SOUTH Korea will parade a new-look side for the Carlsberg Cup Lunar New Year tournament under the watchful eye of controversial CIS national coach Antoly Byshovets.

Byshovets, 48, was the subject of a revolt led by Russia's top players in last summer's World Cup.

The players wanted Byshovets to take charge of the Russian team for USA '94 but the Russian national federation chose to stick with Pavel Sadyrin.

As a result, six of Russia's leading stars, including Manchester United's talented winger Andrei Kanchelskis and Chelsea goalkeeper Dmitri Kharine, declined to join the squad.

Byshovets had already left for South Korea when the controversy threatened to tear apart the Russian team and had taken up a job as acting programme manager.

He was subsequently appointed national coach shortly after USA '94, replacing coach Kim Ho.
