DARRYLL Holland wasted no time in getting back into action following an enforced - but enjoyable - break over the New Year and his close association with the Wong Tang-ping stable can continue to pay dividends.

In the only trial of the morning at Sha Tin yesterday, Holland did not work overtime on Super Power to record a narrow win over griffin Equine Supremo.

Holland, who partners several for Ping on today's Sha Tin card, had Super Power wide for much of the trip, but the stayer responded well in the straight under hands and heels to go strongly to the line.

He is another likely winner for the trainer who is enjoying the best season of his career. While Equine Supremo ran well, griffin Diamond Fortune seems to be going along nicely and should be going close in an early race for the newcomers.

Under Rambo Tse Wai-ho, Diamond Fortune came home well from just better than midfield and he was not really pushed out. The Steven S. L. Leung-trained youngster showed no traces of greenness and seems to be adapting well to the racing game at this formative stage.

This good trial effort follows some excellent speed work from the barriers and a trial win down the straight 1,000-metre chute on December 20.
