Three of the defendants were marketing executives with Chevalier (Business Machines) Ltd. The fourth was a businessman.
They were convicted by Deputy Judge Yung who said he accepted the evidence of ringleader Lam Siu-ming.
Lam pleaded guilty on August 7, 1992, to obtaining property by deception and using a forged instrument. He was sentenced to four years' jail.
Lam said that the defendants agreed to take part in a plot to cheat Chevalier out of mobile telephones.
