Review of illegal roof structures

AN inter-departmental working group will be set up to review policies on the resettlement of residents living in illegal rooftop structures, it was revealed yesterday.

The review would also cover procedures for the demolition of illegal structures, said Assistant Director of Buildings Edward Lok Che-leung.

He said the Buildings Department would continue to demolish dangerous illegal rooftop structures while the review was under way.

'These structures pose a serious threat,' he said.
