New Territories West Constituency will increase its number of seats to nine this year. NT West is the largest constituency in Hong Kong both in terms of geography and population. It covers the districts of Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, Kwai Tsing all the way to the Islands District.  The overall electorate base in all these districts cumulates to 987,330.
Among the contest’s 16 candidates will be DAB chairman Tam Yiu-chung and Legco veteran Kwok Ka-ki, New People’s party deputy chair Tien Pei-shun and Labour Party chairman Lee Cheuk Yan. In the last Legco elections, the DAB and Democratic Party were both able to secure more than one seat.
