PORCELAIN flowerpots worth $11,800 were shattered in a traffic accident outside a luxury Stubbs Road block yesterday. The 10 flowerpots, belonging to a family at Evergreen Villa, were being loaded into a car when it was rammed by another vehicle just after 10.30 am. Flowerpot owner, Elizabeth Law Tsang Yee-yee, 74, said her maids were about to take the pots to a Happy Valley nursery where tangerines and flowers would have been planted for the Lunar New Year. 'I'm upset because it's almost irreplaceable as they had been with us for 22 years. I bought them for $5,000 from a Central porcelain shop. The price has since gone up to about $11,800 now,' she said. Mrs Law, whose father founded the Tsang Fook Piano Company 79 years ago, said all the items at her home had been insured but she did not know whether the flower pots were also covered since the accident occurred outside the flat.
