JARDINE Matheson Holdings has appointed Anthony Nightingale as chairman of Jardine Pacific, the group's regional trading and services company.
Mr Nightingale, managing director of Jardine Pacific, is to also become a director of Jardine Matheson, the group's management company, responsible for business development.
The group has also named Jardine Pacific director Blair Pickerell to succeed Mr Nightingale as managing director of Jardine Pacific.
Mr Pickerell, who is responsible for Jardine Pacific's trading and distribution division, joined Jardine Matheson in 1984.
'The new appointments will significantly strengthen Jardine Pacific's board and support the company's future development in Hong Kong, China and the Asia-Pacific region,' said Alasdair Morrison, managing director of Jardine Matheson.
Two other senior Jardine Pacific executives, Irving Koo and Mark Bedingham, will also join the board.
Mr Koo is chief executive of JOS Technology and Mr Bedingham is responsible for Jardine Pacific's wines and spirit business in Japan.
