TOURISTS in Tibet can now get a glimpse of the unique Tibetan culture and way of life by visiting its four tourism zones, according to the tourism authorities of the autonomous region.

  The Lhasa Tourism Zone is probably the best-known and most popular.

  The Southwestern Tourism Zone, with Xigaze prefecture as the centre, is mainly for mountaineers, because it is on the way to the northern slopes of Mount Qomolangma.
