THE Lady Pao Children's Cancer Centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital was richer by $85,262 recently, thanks to a chocolate egg sale. The egg is marketed by Ferrero Asia Ltd, which has been active in promoting parent-child relationship and community activities targeted at the young. The company's general manager, Mr Philip Chan, presented the cheque for the amount at a ceremony. The amount represented all proceeds from the charity sale of chocolate eggs during the three-day Kinder Surprise Carnival and would be used by the centre for development purposes. The Lady Pao Children's Cancer Centre is the first cancer centre in Hong Kong specially designed to provide medical care and clinical research facilities for young sufferers of cancer and blood disorders.
