Major's affair revealed
THE secret life of Prime Minister John Major as a passionate lover was revealed yesterday with details of an affair with a woman 13 years his senior in the 1960s.
Mr Major, then in his early 20s, acted as a father to Jean Kierans' two children even though he was closer in age to her son than to her.
The details of his romance came out yesterday via Mrs Kierans' son Kevin, who now lives in the United States.
Mr Major's brother yesterday denied that the premier had once been the 'toy boy' of a sophisticated divorcee.
Terry Major said reports of an affair with Mrs Kierans were 'absolutely ridiculous' and the couple had just been good friends.
The affair was conducted in downmarket Brixton, South London, and at a Mayfair flat where Mr Major lived at the time.
