REGIONAL satellite network Asia Business News (ABN) has drawn up a blueprint outlining the direction it will take this year.

The plan covered programming, content, presentation and its integration with the aviation, hospitality and education sectors, said managing editor Chris Graves.

While stepping up efforts to introduce a livelier presentation and improve quality, the network also plans to bring on additional live business news, including updates from European financial markets.

'On the programming front, we have been going from 6 am until midnight.

'We have a sister network that is starting in Europe on February 27, called EBN. That is going to give us the ability to go live to London and Frankfurt,' Mr Graves said.

'We now start the day with a live feed from New York. We will add London and Frankfurt to that.' This did not mean a broader coverage of issues outside Asia, where the network remained the pioneering business news broadcaster.
