SCANDINAVIAN rockers Roxette are in town for a one night only show at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium as part of their Crash! Boom! Bang! world tour.

  The chart dominating duo of Swedish meatball music have had as many hits in Hong Kong as they have in the US - albeit sung by local Canto-pop crooners.

  Now's your chance to see the real McCoy live and sing along to those girlie bar favourites. Be there tonight at 8pm.

  Tonight: You heard the rumours and innuendo about the Chillbilly Boneshakers (a.k.a. Squinty Backbone) and yes, they do play kitchen pots and pans with their heads.

  Sound bizarre? Well if you're into a little musical masochism see them in The Wanch from 10pm.

  You can also catch Freddie James and The Fusion Three manipulating funk, dance and rock at JJ's from 9.30pm.

  Continental rhythms and meandering melodies are also on offer from Afro-reggae band Nogabe in the Jazz Club, from 9.30pm.

  Tomorrow: Back with their second wind, Smokin' Steve Laue and Flash Harry play The Wanch. Check out their classic rock and blues tunes from 10pm. Bambi will also be there at 7.30pm with low volume acoustic sounds.

  Nogabe at the Jazz Club from 9.30pm, while The Rock Gang hit Amoeba from 10pm with hard rock and heavy metal.

  Sunday: Threesome Tiger Tiger funk out Le Bar Bat with a sprightly selection of dance and R&B tunes from 10pm. Rock Jive will be on at the Jazz Club stage hosting a blues rock jam from 9.30pm. And Dave Colquhoun plays acoustic blues and rock in Mad Dogs Central in the afternoon.

 Monday: Native Miami blues and soul duo Dee Dee and Eugene Wilde are at Quo quo from 8pm, and offer more of the same nightly through Saturday.

  The Musical Mystery Tour in the Jazz Club from 9pm.

  Tuesday: Radio Free Hong Kong in the Music Union will feature the alternative music delights of Uncle Spoon and Jackal's Dream from 9.30pm.

  Piano virtuoso Stan Tracey graces the ivories in the Jazz Club with good mate Art Theman on saxophone. Be there at 9.30pm.

  Tiger Tiger stimulate the groove juices of Le Bar Bat with funk and R&B from 10pm.

  Dave Colquhoun gets into his acoustic blues and rock in Mad Dogs Central from 9pm.

  Wednesday: Bambi and Nothing Heavy are in The Wanch from 9pm. Hardcore jazz band Through Train at Le Bar Bat starting at 10pm. The Godown features the New Orleans Jazz Quartet from 9.30pm.

  Dave Colquhoun at Mad Dogs Central from 9pm. Art Theman and the Stan Tracey Quartet hit the Jazz Club stage from 9.30pm. And Music Of This Century in the Fringe Club features contemporary works from the territory's finest talents at 6.15pm.

 Thursday: Jazz funksters Ube in Le Bar Bat starting at 10pm while the Stan Tracey Quartet give a little soul to the Jazz Club from 9.30pm.

 Plus: Cafe Deco on The Peak feature the jazzy delights of Miguel and Friends Monday to Thursday and also Saturday from 7.30pm. Jazz and blues at the Conrad Lobby Lounge with Rosco and Company every night from 6.30, except Sunday.
