A DIVORCEE who wanted to go on an eating binge to relieve his depression was fined $1,000 for stealing food. Telephone operator Chan Chi-wai, 36, stole abalone, dried cuttlefish and pork, chocolate and 12 bars of soap from a supermarket in Times Square, Causeway Bay, on February 7. Chan pleaded guilty to theft in Eastern Court, saying he did it 'for fun'.
