Draw no problem to Moore

CHAMPION trainer John Moore remains confident about Makarpura Star's chances in Sunday's $5.5 million Hong Kong Derby despite the favourite drawing gate nine in a special Derby Draw function at Happy Valley last night.

Moore, desperately seeking his first win in the race, said: 'Barrier nine sounds fine to me. He's a pretty versatile horse and Tony [Cruz] should be able to take up a forward position from there.' Moore's other charge, Master Eagle, drew three.

Gary Ng Ting Keung was also pleased about his two top chances Electric Flash and Sure Win King drawing barriers eight and 14 respectively, while Patrick Biancone's Royal King Prawn and Got It Made drew one and two.
