BRITISH actor Stephen Fry, who mysteriously pulled out of a play and disappeared this week, was spotted on a ferry bound for France, newspapers said yesterday.

  Fry, 37, best known for his portrayal as the butler in the television series Jeeves and Wooster, had been starring in Simon Gray's play Cell Mates when he quit just three days after the opening performance.

  The Daily Telegraph said 12 people saw Fry on a ferry on Monday morning.
