THE more you play around with the Internet and its various wily ways, the more often you find a service that is genuinely helpful in getting your work done.
Less frequently, you come across a service that really impresses, that is so clear cut and simple in its objective that it clearly illustrates the revolutionary nature of the network of which it is part.

Sponsored by IBM is a service called 'G7 live', which gives subscribers instant access to all speeches made at the conference, plus various press releases and announcements, via the Internet.
Subscribing to the service was simple. I sent an E-mail to 'getThis automatically put me on automated mailing list that would send me, periodically, a table of contents of all speeches and announcements at the conference.
To get a copy of a speech, I had to do nothing more than send an E-mail to 'moreinclude in the subject line the listed numbers of the speeches I required.
Within 60 seconds, they had been forwarded to my E-mail account, full-text copies of speeches delivered by US Vice-President Al Gore and European President Jacques Santer.
