1-MIN READ1-MIN

THE City University of Hong Kong and the Hang Seng Bank will jointly issue two affinity credit cards next month, entitling the university's full-time students, staff and graduates to a three-year fee waiver.

The former City Polytechnic of Hong Kong is the second university to link with the bank in credit cards issuance - the Chinese University of Hong Kong issued its affinity credit card last July with a one-year fee waiver.

The CityU card will make Visa card facilities available to all full-time students, while Visa Gold card facilities will be available for graduates, full-time staff members with an annual income of more than $150,000 and associates such as council members.

Monthly credit limits for Visa card holders will be $15,000, while the Visa Gold card holders will have a minimum $30,000 limit.

An amount of 0.3 per cent of spending on the cards will go to a special fund for use by staff and students.
