Lee Siu-eng, 61, was arrested by Customs officers when she was found in possession of 3,400 cigarettes for sale in Tong Shui Road, North Point, on February 27.

She was escorted to her King's Road home where another 34,200 smuggled cigarettes were found and seized.

Eastern Court heard the cigarettes, which were worth $43,130, did not carry health warnings.

The total duty which should have been paid on the cigarettes was $21,808.
