SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) has been voted the best global air cargo carrier in this year's Asian Freight Industry Awards.
Cathay Pacific Airways was placed second, ahead of Federal Express, Lufthansa and Korean Air.
SIA and Cathay were also placed ahead of Nippon Cargo Airlines, Korean Air and Thai Airways International in the category for best air cargo carriers in the Asian region.
A total of 28 winners gathered in Hong Kong on Friday to collect their awards.
More than 14,000 readers of Cargonews Asia magazine were asked to vote for the best service providers in the cargo industry.
The categories included airports, seaports, container terminal operators, shipping lines, express carriers, all-cargo airlines, land carriers, logistics providers, freight forwarders and warehouse operators.
