I REFER to the letter 'Flat-owner refused entry' (South China Morning Post, March 10 1995).
The Corporation launched the sale of Ko Nga Court in early March. Registration to purchase the properties was held between 9.30am and 9.30pm on March 6 and 7. Coincidentally Mr Kung and his mother-in-law wanted to move into her flat on March 7 when thousands of interested buyers were lining up for the registration and to view the show flats on the 25th floor.
The place was very crowded, and it was necessary to move the queue forward as quickly and smoothly as possible. Under such circumstances, our staff had no choice but to request Mr Kung not to carry out the house-moving during that period.
Subsequently, the Corporation arranged for Mr Kung to move into the premises after the crowd had disappeared in the evening. The inconvenience caused to Mr Kung in this incident is regretted.
