THIS year, King George V's musical production - Little Shop of Horrors - tells of the thwarted attempt of an anthropomorphic plant named Audrey II, to take over Hong Kong and the universe.
Fiona Tearson, the director of the play, said: 'I enjoy very much working with my students. It is a huge amount of work in production and I am glad it worked out very well.' 'The students are very good actors, with a lot of talents. And we seek professional performance.' Echoing her thoughts, Jennifer Wiest, who plays Audrey, said: 'It's really a lot of fun to be involved in the play.' 'I have been in other plays and each one is different. I always learn something new.' Teamwork and dedication are the best words to describe the production.
The show involves 200 students and will be performed at the school tonight and tomorrow night - Gala Night.
'I believe practice and dedication contributed to our success,' Jennifer said.
Friendships built from working on the play may be the most valuable reward.
'The best thing about the play was making new friends from different countries and with different ethnic backgrounds,' said the Year 12 student.
