SCMP Reporter

IN a report of the meeting of the Trainers' Association which appeared in the SCMP on Friday, March 24 under the heading 'Trainers united behind Kam' it was stated that champion trainer Ivan Allan had suggested they should push for the removal of a senior Jockey Club official.

This was incorrect. Allan said that, in showing moral support for Kenny Kam in his appeal against a decision not to grant him a licence to train next season, they were not in dispute with the Stewards of the Jockey Club. It was important to remember that the Racing Department made the recommendation not to license Kam. The error is regretted as is any inconvenience caused to Allan.
